61 MANAGING DIGITAL IDENTITY You should have adequate skills and knowledge to effectively manage your digital identity. More specifically, you need to be able to: • Outline the aspects of a digital identity • Evaluate a digital identity • Create their own digital identity How to create and maintain an online presence (Shapearts, 2021)? STEP 1: DEFINE WHO YOU ARE • Create a bio, a brief summary of who you are and what you have achieved but keep it small and simple • Think about what content you will share STEP 2: MAKE A MARKETING PLAN • Set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timed) goals regarding your plan: How you want people to see you? Where do you want to be known? etc. • Regularly measure your success-improvement on the goals you have set. • Create a marketing plan for each event you organize and follow the same process.
