When creating online content, it is vital to think about the 3 Cs of e-safety: • content (what you are posting online), • contact (who is going to see what you post online) and • conduct (how you are behaving online). When sharing and distributing your digital content, you must do so properly, responsibly, and safely. By sharing your content online, you should think about: • What information are you sharing with the online world? • Have you gained the permission to post content if it is not created by you? • Have you openly given any personal data of you or others? To protect yourself online, you should: • Avoid sharing misinformation online • Have a strong password on your social media / digital media platforms • Use a firewall • Be wary of suspicious activity, posts, account profiles and websites. By understanding the risks that we all face online, you can navigate secure and risk-free online environments. As someone who wants to promote your brand online, you must establish a good online image.
